Small update before will posts up a picture of me working
Glad will turned up and pointed out something I was doing before I ruined both subframes, when the bushes are out there is a metal ring that I thought needed cutting out which he pointed out did not, saved me some time etc
no more subframe bushes
Quick couple of coats of por15 then its time to fit them with the bag full of bits for the car, its coming together lol.

Small update
rods and pistons now fitted after jp sorted me out with the piston rings

Then quattronutter/aiden was kind enough to paint my block and gearbox reflex silver same as my passat

oh and picked these up to go in the place of the rs2 seats I had, I feel these are more period looking for the car plus are lighter and recline all the way unlike the rs2 seats.

Going to get them tidied up but they are not too bad in the first place. Must admit they feel a hell of a lot more comfy and always wanted a pair of these.
Also sorted out the rear diff and the powerflex bush but no pictures of that as ran out of time. Not a bad days work, more like that needed

cheers mate, i'll be down to see you asap.
Heads been worked on already, just waiting to be fitted back on, rs2 cam's with adjustable pulley (also got a rs2 pulley incase) i'll get some pics when i'm up there and can remember.
Yup raven leather cossie 4x4 seats, feel a lot better to sit in that the rs2 recaro's, seem to hug you better and must admit alot lighter.
I'll try upload some more pics tomm, i'm on probably the worst connection possible as i'm not anywhere near home (not that I have work to go back to anymore)

loads in mind, may have one coming soon will wait and see.
Spent today por15'ing the front/rear subframes and rear hub carriers.
Also cleaned up the rs2 farb and whiteline rear for a spot of paint tommorow and I have to say whiteline need a kicking for the quality of paint/coating on the rear arb's, i've not yet seen one thats been in good condition, they are always always always flaking and rusty if they've been on the car.
Rear kw's fitted earlier as well.
no pics as no camera or phone.Comment
