Any A4 specialists??? HELP please :(

sorry if its in wrong forum but it urgent lads..........

my alarm/central locking stopped working,
basicaly went to get in the car this morning and keyfob didnt work, no biggie i just used the key in the door.....
only drivers door opened and alarm stayed activated!

couldnt open/lock other 3 doors with the button inside either.

after 2 mins of driving with alarm doing its b0ll0x, it stopped and all 4 doors opened?!

keyfob still didnt work and when locked with key it locked all 4 doors but again, would only open drivers door and alarm went off on one again.

no water in passenger footwell and no water leaks in pollen filter either.

my scanner wont communicate with alarm system either.

any ideas as im desperate...... need my A4 secure due to what it is!

Tried a new battery??

Fit a new one in the fob,

Stick it the key in the ignition and turn the key to on, and press the lock/unlock button to reprogram the fob to the car..

My RS6 did this a few times..

Will try a new battery tomorow when im at work, but i cant understand why the central locking dont work off the key when it should regardless of what the remote is doing.....

most likely the central locking pump/alarm control unit in the boot

pump works fine after alarm stops, locks and unlocks fine with button inside and locks all 4 doors with key in the lock but doesnt open again and keyfob dont work at any time.

its got me baffled

try checking the connections between the drivers door and the body - mine choroded to hell and it caused havoc with central locking, alarm, door-mirrors, the whole shooting match - it seems to be common on the A4's pf the last decade. Just had mine all ripped out and replaced - now my windows open again :-)

sorry mate, couldnt find the post when i looked!

the keyfob had failed, somehow altering the frequency code, on A4`s you can alter door opening, i.e 1 or 4, auto locking, total closure etc by 5 digit code and it changed itself, fresh keyfob and vag-com altered i now have a secure a4
