2012 Audi Quattro, Thumbs up, or down ?

Personally, I've been disappointed with the homogenising of Audi designs for the last few years, same as every other manufacturer.... like it's getting harder to differentiate a new Audi from a Beemer & a Hyundai from a Benz etc... the general campness of styling is neutering the masculinity out and replacing it with a cheesy plastic vibe, ala the Jap. Chic !

Leave A5s with brash body kits to ABT and MTM, wide arches and spoilers belong on 80s cars. Modern Audis are about style and presence with world class engineering under the skin...

I dont think the new ones have presence atall, look at the S5 for example, its bland and looks hardly any different from an A5.

How many times have you seen what you thought was a new S or RS model only to find it was actually an S-Line?
What seperates the cooking ones from the high performance ones is getting more and more blurred every model

The newest Audi that does anything for me is still the B5 RS4, nothing has arrived since that I would want to own!

This 2012 Coupé looks more like a scirocco more chic than impressive.
More impressive is the Q3 - I don't like the design either:

The Q3 looks more towards the X1... that means no good!
The 2012 Quattro, does looks like a facelifted A5..... that means no good! too.

AUDI should revamp the legend Audi Quattro with maintaining its design and looks. or maybe don't make a new Audi Quattro at all, keep it as it is, a Legend.
take for e.g. the RS2 ADU. why don't we have another new RS2, i.e. Audi + Porsche = new model?

I was at a show today with a TT-RS. I have to admit i was rather taken with it, but it does look identical to a TT-S with a rear spoiler, which in turn looks like a regular TT.

That said, an RS2 looks like an S2 avant, which looks like an 80 avant with a few different trim options.

The dealer came wandering over to have a look at the old-skool 5-cyl when i revved it up, he wondered why it sounded similar to the TT-RS

Quattro looks like an A5 with a new bonnet and lightning bolt headlights. I think it would be best to leave the quattro as it is. I bet if you ask a child what a scirroco is they would think of the new one. You wouldnt want someone thinking a quattro is simply another new car.

I like it too but not the funky grille

I like it but the photo / graphic is plain horrible. The sport quattro photo is honest and plain whereas the new car looks to have been superimposed on something from le mans.

I've read a lot of coverage of the s2 when it was launched, at that time it wasn't really liked by the masses either; ur quattro owners weren't exactly queueing up to buy them.
