We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
I'm going to be coming back to ol Blighty (from Belgium) sometime around August. Obviously one of the most important things to sort out will be 'reregistering' the S2 (I exported the car to Belgium in 2008). I think this is a fairly simple process - but I need to find someone I can trust to help me get the car through an MOT. Can anyone recommend a good place within easy drive of Tring? The poor thing could do with a proper service as well as she has only done 300km in the last 2 years...

A friend of mine runs his own garage, he was a VAG tech but set up for himself. Knows his stuff and i trust him to do any work on my cars that i cant do etc.
DSK Autos in Eaton Bray (Near Dunstable) I believe at the moment he takes cars to a local MOT tester as he doesnt have the facilities for it at the moment but is a qualified MOT tester so he'll know if its going to fail on anything before it goes etc and will be able to do a full service etc for you too.

I'll not be back until end August so I'll give him a bell when I get back. I should be OK on my Belgian insurance for a while so hopefully no huge rush. I'm hoping there wont be too much work to get through the MOT... but I'm pretty sure some of the hoses have gone mushy - seems that I have a fair bit of lag these days.
