exporting a car from Spain

I know there are a few Spanish members on this forum.

I bought a car from Spain, and now no one seems to know what kind of procedure do I need to go through to be able to drive it to Finland.

Basically the best bet would be the present owner to remove the car from Spanish registration, and then I would take green plates (Placas verdes) for it, and insure it.

I do not speak a single word of spanish, which makes things a bit more complicated.

Any hints?

Ask the forum member ROCCO, he is from Pamplona (Spain). Did you buy it on Madrid? I know there was a red one on sale with a new engine installed. I'm planning to do something like you did, buy a car from spain and import it to italy and the procedure is: first of all you gotta buy the german 5days license plate, register the car under your name (take someone that speaks spanish with you!), drive the loooooooooong way back to home and then you have to register the car in your country with a new local license plate paying the taxes that your country's law says.

if you want i can go tomorrow to my town´s office where i do always my insurances and papers of all my cars and i will can ask to them about what you need to use the spanish car traveling to Finland ,papers,little insurances ( days or a week )..etc etc...
