Audi 80 cabrio 2.6 v6 idle control valve - help please

Hi chaps,

I had to jump start my old mans cabriolet earlier due to a flat battery, now the idle surges around 1400rpm in a vroom, vroom, vrooom sort of way

I want to unplug the idle control valve as a process of elimination but where the f*$k is it ?

I have the inlet accordian hose and top cover off but can't see it

I think its to the left of the throttle body under the plastic engine cover. Should have an elecy plug on the top of it.
