    Rear diff leaks

Hey guys sure this has been covered before but is there a link or any advice on how to fix the seal on my rear diff? Roughly how long will it take to do and is it difficult? Also where can I get the new seal from and is it expensive?

    Cheers in advance

I got mine from Pete at quattro corner, My diff was off the car when I did mine which made it a simple job, will take you longer to get the cv's off and clean it up than replacing the seals.

Make sure you undo the drain/filler plugs before you start to make sure they are not seized as they can be a pita.

Make sure you drive the new seal in straight or it will weep

LHS seal is very different to the RHS one and it's much bigger. There is no lip to dictate how far to push it in so you need to measure how far into the diff housing the old one is before you remove it so you can push the new one in by the same amount.

diff oil only comes out when you remove the left side seal.

Removing this seal can be troublesome as it's usually been in there a while.

right side is easy and is about 1hr-2hr max
