    Type 81 brake conversions?

I was wondering how similar the components are since the rear drums need new shoes on my 80 and one of the front discs looks like it's been hit with a hammer on the flange so I was wondering if I could go for a front and rear golf mk3 gti brake/5x100 stud setup?

Or maybe just a 4 stud 16v mk2 golf setup?

Apparently the 4x100 audi and vw discs are not interchangable?

    It's a 1984 Audi 80, 1.8 DZ, Sport, Type 81, B2

pretty sure you could do a b3 swap. 280mm ish fronts and rear disc conversion, that'd be 4x108 though, my mate runs a 300+ bhp type 81, fwd and he has standard rear drums and golf g60 280mm fronts with yellow stuff pads and says there absolutely amazing in terms of stopping power

Would a 1990 audi 80 16v have the required bits do you think?

          no, b3 16v isn't typ81 or typ85 and it don't have 4x100 wheel pattern.
your mentioned car have only 245x10mm rear disc brakes.
          and biggest brakes is from b3 90 w/ 7A = 276/25mm front brakes.
          G60 rear is only 226x10 w/ 4x100.
