      Fair comment.
I don't go about kerbing my wheels as a rule, but if I can save them damage and me money- heh!
My ex done a fair bit of damage to previous wheels, hence ex - only joking about reason!
And now have a nice new set of ABT wheels, would like to keep them that way.

For me though, you could have a nice set of wheels and then ruin them by adding some dodgy plastic rim protectors!

agreed...the idea in principle is a good one, just not sure on the execution personally.

I don't see the point and there is loads of tires with RPB/R ( rim protection bar/ridge ) and have been for a long time , it's not just Dunlop SP's .

but the dont protect the rim Jo tyre strips.

heres a scenario. you have rims that are no longer available and damage means 4 new rims.

my recent curb will cost me another 100 quid.

I am a bit of a novice and was not aware of a whole range of alternatives.
Hence my posting to see if anybody knew about these.

What ?? of course they do, well they do if your not running rims that are too wide for the tire you are using. I will admit that some makes of tire with Rim protection are better than others but to say they don,t protect the rim is just wrong.

I have run down a curb with these (pics) and felt it and had no damage to my rims !
