    Can you believe Audi!!

My Mrs drives a 55 plate A3 quattro S-Line 2.0tfsi (flaming mouthful...) It has extended Audi warranty. I noticed about 2 months ago that the front near side drive-shaft gator had gone.

She phoned them, booked it in, work done, happy days.. yesterday they phoned me, some 6 weeks after it was repaired and said Mr Jones we are sorry to trouble you but the item repaired has been rejected as a warranty claim by Audi...

As a consequence we need you to pay for the work, however as a gesture of goodwill we will go halves with you over the labour. My answer was tough your mistake f**k off..

The conversation went on to well will you make a gesture towards the repair, no i wont, not even £10 towards it, he asked.

By this comment i was well pi**ed off.

I said i cant believe what you are asking me, its not the money its the audacity of you ringing back after 6 weeks and pleading poverty and begging for money..

Are Audi that hard up... me thinks not.:corey:

I think i was more pi**ed as i have spent just over a grand this month on RS4 parts which had to come from the main dealer, and to get this monkey on the phone topped it.

Lets say he wished he hadn't called, my PA said oh my god who the hell were you talking to...

              .

Since new Audis are only bought by the 'more money than sense brigade' he probably thought you were fair game...and lost.

              Six weeks...way too long.

Glad you gave them both barrels, bet that felt good.

That's a pretty bemusing story, shocking from a dealership. Sounds like you told him that in no uncertain terms.

I have noticed of late a few warrenty companies are rejecting claims for CV boots as fair wear and tear........

The Mondial based Audi extended warrenty excludes CV boots.
