I think if they admitted it, for sure it would end in a DQ. So of course they won't. And i actually think a DQ would be unfair, in that Red Bull and McLaren would gain points they didn't desrve.
However, it needs to be stamped out so perhaps a £50m fine for bringing the sport into disrepute would help discourage such behaviour in the future? The rediculous lies covering up the blatant dismeanor perhaps are deserving of a DQ...
I always hated team orders, was glad to see it banned, this race was made a joke. I'd add 5s to Alonso's time, big fine, take the points from the team only. Make it clear they play for the team, the team gets points; individual points are for the driver and the team can't interfere with that. If their drivers take each other out then that's racing - same as if they took out a driver for any other team.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

This ain't no motor sport no mo'...... sheeyt, even these guys adhere to professional standards:
And rigidly enforced ethics, take rule No.6 for example, I think this would fairly apply to the Ferrari team tactics

They just dont seem to get it do they! It was setting itself up nicely for a good battle certainly between 2 if not 3 drivers for the lead. We were robbed of that by the team orders. If Alonso thinks he is so much better then get on and pass Massa dont just whinge about it!
I realy cant remember the last pass for the lead of a grand prix that was on the first lap or from a pit stop? Sums up the sport. Far better off watching motogp!Comment

Did I miss yet another dull display of supremely fast cars being driven in circles without any spectacle ?
Oh well... How poignant it was for Top Gear this week to do some flashbacks of F1 coverage from the 80s when it was so much more exciting to watch. F1 has lost the plot it would seem...Paul Nugent

And, probably even worse than the Contrived Ferrari Race Result, is the pathetic Hockenheim Circuit which is just a shadow of it's past self. If ever a decent track were ruined, that is it... Someone should be shot for ploughing it up.85 WR Urquattro, 85 20vT International liveried RallyRep

the problem is money. or shall we say too much of it.
its obviously benificial to a team financially to win. reduce that incentive. the incentive to do anything at all costs to win(the money)
like football F1 is now just about £$€. bring back the characters, the drivers with attitude with driving skill and ropey cars that need them guys. drivers like henri toivonen. bring back the love of the game. its easy, reduce financial incentive.Comment

The rule about team orders is actually quite a new one, and to be absolutely honest I tend to agree that it should be treated as a team sport.
However, what really saddens me is that Massa led fairly and squarely (albeit with a little good fortune into the first corner, which Button didn't get when Vettel decided to back out of the Ferrari pincer movement) ...and Massa, a year after the incident which might have killed him, clearly deserved the win.
My opinion is that he won and Alonso was in noughth place just ahead of him...
But remarking on the 80s being the good old days does rather neglect that team orders were very much a part of the sport then and indeed in the preceeding 30 or so years prior to that, and the 20 or so years thereafter.
The only way, and I mean the ONLY way, that team orders will ever be totally removed from F1 or any motorsport competition, is to have one car and driver per team, and double the number of teams entered. That will not happen.
We've seen team driving (and blocking, and handing over of the lead) in BTCC and similar competitions, which nobody seems to bat an eyelid at?Martin Cutting
