Stop teasing them Rusty and give the saddo detailers what they want - before and after pictures with close-ups of the scratches and a dull 7-page report of which products you used and how much it all cost.
I assume you finished the job off with a good handfull of some special £8K a tub Carnauba wax?

£8k tub of wax is a bit cheap, I'd go for the wax that incorporates the first pressing from a virgin's breast milk and is then refined through shellfish for that added pearl effect... only £eleventy-billion - cheap IMO.
Actually I removed the scratches so well that I also removed the surface coating on the lens but that's life and was due to the initial mess being too much to sort out and the lenses being plastic and not glass as I had assumed (expensive glasses my *****). I tried it on the other lens (light scratches) and it worked well, removing most little scratches with no ill-effects. Toothpaste is also good but not as well controlled on the abrasive particle size

haha. and there was me thought it was detailers terminology for a special pad or something. doh!
I'm actually interested not as a saddo detailer but as a guy who scratched his mother in law's ceramic hob and got a big dose of "the brows". Thought I might be able to fix it instead of having it as a constant thorn in my side.--------------------------------------------------------------------

good stuff. also have a long wide scratch or series of scratches on my driver's window. looks like something was trapped against the rubber for some time and kept doing damage as the window went up and down. can you use a pad and polisher with the Peeks because I could be there for a loooong time by hand I think--------------------------------------------------------------------

if anyone else is looking £4.75 for 100g seemed to be the best I could find without going into bigger volumes. much better value than the 50g tubes anyway http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEEK-Multi-Use...item4aa0b92401--------------------------------------------------------------------

aha! but finnish breakers aren't the same as British breakers. EVERYTHING's more expensive. I went to a scrappie recently and they wouldn't let me near the cars. I had to tell them what I wanted and they would go get the part if they had it. and so you pay for their time too.--------------------------------------------------------------------
