I am watching it as i write this, how cheesy can a program get? A clio with an induction kit, neon,s cheapo ugly wheels and a hideous paint job aganst a civic VTI with equal amount of chav on it, and they have the nerv to say "theese are not streetcars anymore, they are racing cars". The hell they are, they were and are proper chavmobiles. Who the hell enjoys watching such utter 5hit on the telly? It´s even worse than pimp my ride, and that was before this the most rubbish program television has ever shown! Though i would take the Honda anyday over the garlic car... And then de-chav it!

I watched a few minutes of it in utter disbelief, it is so sad/cheesy it is almost like a spoof.

And the mods are ridiculous as you say, they get power pack-cone filter and exhaust, handling kit-wheels/springs.

I've seen a few of these, always little "hot" hatches with a choice between speed, handling or all around upgrade packages. Always preferred Pimp my Ride if only for Xzibit's enthusiasm. Would love to see what they'd make of my grandad wagon urs4.

At least the american version had/has cars worth gamling on in comparison to the hot hatch s*it.

woahhhh you can see its got the handling package......... and that prick that drives the viper!!! grrr i seen 1 episode, and it involved putting 19" alloys on a 1.6 primera, that was the handling package lol theres a pretty cool american version possibly called pinks, where they race each other on the drag strip to win the losers big american muscle car, thats worth a watch

Yeah, If neons, crap mods, non functional performanceparts (such as rear spoilers, airducts and so) then yes, chav is rice. But i thought rice was a japcar thing? are your domestic rides rice aswell?

It started as a Japanese slang term, but yes we also have what we call domestic rice.
