    RAC inspections ??

Hi, has any of you used RAC to inspect a car for you, if so what kind
of report do you get for your money. (what do they do ?)

Just its looking likely am gonna have to go this route.

    Cheers

i have had a few done but not by the RAC...a couple of specialists and the AA....

for your money you get quite an extensive report, i can send a copy of an old AA one if that helps, and they can solve the distace issue....i.e. if it turns out to be a lemon you have only the cost of the inspection and not own time and effort...

me personally, I would have another one....

I'd recommend it if it's for a car worth, say 8k+ and distance is an issue. If it's within reasonable traveling distance then take along a mechanic-minded mate. It is quite a comprehensive report but nothing that can't be checked yourself/with a mate.

I got one done/she insisted for our Pathfinder for peace of mind before setting off to Birmingham to pick it up.

So if it's a car that's in Auchtenshoogle :mischeif: that's worth a bit, then aye I'd recommend it.
