just spotted this on autotrader, bit shocked when it turned out to be round the corner from me!

I think we should run a competition to find the most and least accurately advertised S2. Finding the most accurate will by like finding hens teeth, but finding the worst just means voting on all the adverts we find

For instance, I'm not sure which car they are describing, but it sure ain't an S2 if it includes the following: -

Multi Airbags
Climate Control
Multi function steering wheel
Side airbags
Adjustable steering column/wheel
Limited slip differential
Traction control

I guess technically it does have traction control (we call them torsens) but by calling it traction control suggests to the buyer that it is electronic and managed.

There is something not right about that car...

No Front washers, no front badge, Front grille looks shagged and RS2 Rear badge...

It's an early Interior too...

Considering all the listing mistakes "Buyers Be Aware"... IMO

Ill take your word for it and stay clear of this one,

couldnt make out the rs2 badge on the back though, im on a dongle internet connection so most pictures turn up as a smudge on my pc lol

Wood, worn leather, nasty wheels and a front end with a few interesting scars on it and the wrong (but nicer looking) bumper. Would need to have a damned good look over the car and history to see what's going on there, hardly seems worth the effort as green coupes are quite common and that's an early non-elipsoid one so will be a bit of a mish-mash of parts too if you're unlucky. Then again, don't look, don't find out... just don't get carried away!

I didn't mean "Don't Rule It Out" Just to "Be Aware" that it MAY not be as good as it may seem at first glance....

Like all things on the net pics from 10' away can hide lots of small things that you can only see close up.... and from 10' away it may look great but up close!!!

I saw that one advertised last week... All that nonsense in the advert is just a lazy / uneducated trader who is looking to upsell some features that he doesnt fully appreciate. He probably cut and pastes all that from a generic advert he has for any Audi with 4WD. Care required on this one I feel too. Is that the going price these days ? The mileage is good if accurate and if the car hasn't been laid up for years storing up a backlog of ailments.

This one was advertised when I was looking at buying mine a few months ago, I phoned about it and was told it had been sold privatley by 'the boss'. Guess that fell through...
