That's the one stunning motor, Ive seen it at edition38 for the last 2-3 years I think? It is the only limited engined car that goes to edition38. I'd dread to think how much the engine is worth.
Just some finishing touches to do now

        its rare for a reason.

glader and 16v = lots of bits of glader

gottal love those scirocco 16v inlets. worth a pretty penny too.

its only a piston difference really. and not for any reason other than to be special. stock boost from the lader on one of those is what 7psi or so. hardly enough to warrant comprerssion changes really.

they key parts are the inlet and attached pipes and the brackets.

oh and a stack of gladers as running anthing that we class as boost will blow one of those. i run a 65mm pulley upto 6k. thats 17psi on a 8v. bout 10-12 on the 16v and changing at 6k on a 16v is a waste. thats all they can do. thats a rebuild of the charger every 12 months or so too.

            16vt all the way.

io remember a crate motor a few years back went for about 5k.

im not dissing jd but from many accounts the cars are so over timed they det when warm but make big power cold.

it also helps if the glader only does the 1/4 mile once or twice then the lader gets new seals and bearings.

at 8k the tips of the scroll will melt and deform meaning you cannot get apex seals in again.

In luckau he also won from AME.

what makes a differnce is that you use original bearings for the lader. not the cheap stuff

agree. not cheap and pretty hard to find now.

i never had an issue with my glader. i dont think vw helped with the no service intervals.

                        those toothed conversinos are good.

i gotta say i really did like the corrado in the dry.

My mate who works at Leeds VW built a mk1 16vG60 with toothed and that run 276bhp. I think I'll be going to MIVW next year, with a few lads I know( ones building a 16vT with my S2 bits) plus it's closer than Edition38.
