Can it be done: 2.5 TDI quattro to type 44q

I need some help with this one. My brother owns an Audi 100 quattro type 44 with a 2.2 petrol engine. Since doesn't have to pay roadtax for the car because of it's age (MY 1985) it would be very interesting to get the running gear from a C4 2.5 TDI quattro and swap it all over.

Are there any BTDT's does everything from the C4 like subframes, gearbox, diff and driveline fit under a type 44q? I'd like to think so.

It would make a great car which will be very economical and cheap to drive.

I know we'd have to swap the pedal box over aswell, and the engine electronics.

Help me to convince my brother to get it done

t44 and c4 have virtually the same running gear/floorpan so it ought to be a doddle to fit

thought so, that's really nice. Wonder if getting the engine to work in the type44 will be a problem. I guess not for someone that knows a thing or two about car electronics.

Be sure you get the ecu and wiring from the donor car.
I think i can find the wiring diagram for the 2.5 tdi engine.
