    Remove and run without ICV?

Is it possible to disconect and remove the idle control valve on an ABY s2? Disconnecting it doesn't seem to have any effect, it idles fine and returns to idle fine after revving up.

I've always taken them off e30s I've had and it doesn't see to effect anything. It makes things much easier, less chance of getting leaks, makes engine bay look tidier, easier access to other vacuum take-offs on the inlet manifold etc.

E30s are a much simpler ECU than the S2, need to check with an ECU guru... Leaving the ISV on there isn't going to do any harm so why do you want to take it off

ISV is also involved in starting the car in different weather conditions varying the amount of air entering the engine depending on MAT temp.

You'll have problems starting in the winter and summer with it removed IMO
