yep because they need to make up the numbers to stop the costs escalating (more than they have already)

Unfortunately lots of people just don't want to venture out. Understandable but a shame in many ways. These cars are designed to be used, been interesting to know how many people have never actually seen how they really perform as opposed to a heavy motorway foot.

Fame i'm still broke, and driving a 20year old car....no change here

:mischeif:i guess that means we'll have to shed the passengers and the interiors and have a proper head to head with two healthy cars next time

Don't be daft, it's an impossibility for 2 or more S2s to be healthy at the same time And anyway, my car had an egg shaped tyre

Had I have been a potential customer I'd have chipped off their and then..
I've traded a few posts with them on DW before now, and PMs with Dom, so was quite interested to meet them both.

I don't want to say to much **** because i love the products, and wouldn't want one silly encounter to put anyone off buying them, but I was looking at the products on their stand, they had a panel there for customers to try stuff out with.

I spritzed some red mist tropical onto a panel and the guy immediately jumped at me and had a bit of a go, saying that what i'd done was REALLY bad, to a few other punters at the stand, trying to make me feel like a right bell end. He then proceeded to tell me that the panel was for customer demo's and to test products, so to leave it alone.

I was pretty taken back, being a customer and all, and trying out a product

But still, it was tropical not the stronger RM, so what i was doing (giving it 10 seconds to mist) was infact correct AFAIK! It's not the point about being told i'm doing something wrong, it their product after all and i'm all up for learning about more and better products and techniques, but his attitude was appalling and confrontational.

Most people left the stand at that point, not a good sales pitch!

I carried on trying to strike up a bit of a discussion about their products and company, but he seemed very disinterested and dismissive, especially when i said that i'd spoken to someone there called Mike (I was mistaken, Mike is someone from another company who i've bought Dodo products from before). He categorically informed me that i was wrong and didn't know what i was talking about.

                    Nice guy!

Still, i got my own back when he waxed half the panel with SN to demo it's amazing beading capability, which always impresses a few people, so i spritzed water over the un-waxed side which had recently been polished, and it of course beaded up just as well as the waxed side

The other thing that made me laugh, when i did strike up a conversation (Ross wonders why i didn't just walk off), was that he tried to rubbish some test results from other members on DW.

The following threads on layering waxes and sealents and the durability of both if anyone fancies a read

Does anyone know of any (scientific) measurements of the wax thickness put down in one or more applications? I have long suspected that the thickness is much less than one micron and am sorely tempted to make the measurements. I have access to equipment that can measure to less than one...

Continued from a previous thread on thickness of wax layers. Note, I don't make any claims about effectiveness, I am only measuring the thickness! Thanks to Caledonia, I have a large selection of waxes and also sealants to test, so I have started a new thread. Here are a few results from the...

OK, following the many ups and downs of thw wax test many would question my sanity, but none I think my dedication. So just when you thoughts things might work towards me throwing the towel in I've taking the challenge by the horns! Today I've gone and made a huge step towards getting the...
