2.4 to 2.7 bar boost and 7.2 compression ratio with peak torque at around 4500 rpm on a 3071?!

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It's off the compressor map with the boost profile, can see where he's getting the power though, with that low CR he can run crazy ignition timing

I wouldn't like to drive it though be a pig off boost.

think over-runnning turbos is a ford thing too.

we see too many high hp for turbo cars for them all to be fake.

im trying to encourage a mate with a series 1 to go new tech. his bext door but 1 has just finished his s1 to factory. it looks great.

thats one thing with the older Rs cars. ford knew how to make them look good.

looks like we are going zetec turbo in the s1 with a st170 6 speed. maybe some time off yet.

gotta say the attention to detail and enthusiasm of the ford world grabs me. we are talking about poor quality metals in the body and ok engines yet they get them like new and extract power. props to the ford guys for that for sure.

the costs of fords are the issue.

my mates neighbour has even zinc coated bits like factory to ensure the original look.

                2 lovely cars.

Right he's using a 3071.82 the same as AndyP and Audiman IIRC

2.7 bar run, lunancy but respect

my 0.63 stage 5 doesn't come on that early maybe 500rpm later

suppose you could say they have made best use of the turbo size.

1.6bar on the 5 pot is more air than 1.6 bar on the 4 pot. unless that cossie hgas serious headwork.

The cossie in question will have a very serious head on it, Nick Waples did the original and he is one of the best, I believe thats been altered to suit Marks requirements with his choice of custom grind camshafts.

Dougs had some serious engines, good to see the old boat anchor still having so much development done.

so that 2.x bar is really pushing that turbo then.

big balls but lots of experience to match
