Paul, my friend has a new rs and lives in carrick. Was it white. From being in the car I can say its quite impressive in terms of low lag and response. It is restricted in first and second gear and this can be felt as it seems to pull through third very little slower than second. This stops wheel spin etc.
It is a very firm handling thing though which inspires confidence at speed on twisty roads. It's quite harsh and loud, which gives more of a impression of speed.
Nice enough car, but not for me. Ps a chip, exhaust, intercooler and air box can give 400hp...
400bhp? Whos told you that? from my experience the new RS is more like 360-370 with a stage 2 map and the bits you mention. The engine doesn't have a great more deal to give after that, its already in a relatively high state of tune in the RS, for a car in stock form anyway

There are several out there with the 400hp package, Jamsport and Si tech to name 2
It's nothing like our engine. Bore spacing different for a start. They are all alloy too so weak. But 365bhp is stage 2 on stock injectors. Stage 3 is 400hp on larger injectors. It's similar to a Volvo v60r engine.
They do weigh over 1400kg so arnt a light car .
