and i was gonig for 500+ on the corrado. lol.

it depends on what you want to do with the power. if you want excellent traction forget it.

the s2 on a dry day feels like its dragging extra weight it doesn't need.

Had a dark blue RS behind me as I joined a dual carriageway a month or so back stayed at 35mph and as the road widened he went to overtake, got to 100mph and he was still in the same place behind me:mischeif:. Series 2 Cq weighs a lot less than S2 so makes a big difference. I dabbed the brakes and let him past and he put his thumb out the window and flashed the indicators. Kind of hoped I'd be able to pull away but then RS focus is a 2.5 5 cylinder with a lot more torque. If I ever get this block uprated etc things will be different

and the power is through 2 wheels. it only matters when theres a lack of traction this 4x4 thing.

still like i say to peeps i only got about 12k in this give or take a k or 2.

I had a go against some Focus ST500 thing at the weekend.

I was cruising along, generally overtaking stuff on an A road at legal-ish speed, when I came alongside this Focus. It was then that it decided to go for it, so I responded by dropping 2 gears and flooring it. I managed to get ahead slowly and pull in front, but immediately got to some ***mph corners. Then it didn't stand a chance.

It was only later when I searched for info on the ST500 that I was surprised. I guessed '500' didn't mean 500bhp, but even so, it probably had roughly a 200kg, 40Nm and 20bhp advantage over the S3. It must of been down to the driver, or a floor mat under the throttle or something.
