    Seized O/S/R Girling Calliper

After trying to unsieze the offside rear girling type calliper with the 38mm piston I have come to the conclusion that is is f*****d!! The callipers on the rear are originals on my 3b coupe - 20 years old. I have picked a set on Europarts for £100 per side exchange but have also seen the following ones on Ebay. Please see the following link:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-S2-QUATTR...item35abde2302

They seem to be good value as they come complete with a shiny new bracket and pads. Has anybody on this forum fitted these callipers? Are they any good?

In the future I would like to replace the fronts for Porsche monoblock type callipers but cannot afford to at the moment as I need bigger alloys. Mine are standard 3B type alloys. Would the rear callipers be ok to use with the monoblocks on the front?

I've no experience of the calipers you've seen on eBay but you can get replacement rear calipers from GSF for around £70+VAT.

Many of us run with uprated Porsche brakes on the front whilst retaining standard rear brakes just fine.

Ok then, i think i might save me a few quid and get the standard replacements for the rear and hopefully one day fit the porsche callipers to the front if i can afford it. Thanks for your help.
