ur-q versus RS2
Lucky enough to have both. Chipped RS2 and chipped RS2 spec '84 ur-q with sport quattro 4 piston brakes and vented rears. I love the RS2 but my daily driver is the ur-q.

I wish I could own both here in the usa. The URQ would probably get more attention the majority of the time, but the rs2 would be more wife/family friendly. A avant is extremely handy for everyday use! I voted the URQ, as I don't think any audi, sans the sq, rivals it in terms of raw car.
I also can't handle how porky the b3s and b4s without much improvement to the rigid member of the chassis.1981 URQuattro with the TIAL GT35r.

I remember reading about the RS2 back in 1995, while living in the US (where it was not available).
It was an article in AMS or Sport Auto, I think. The reviewers were absolutely shocked by the acceleration. I knew right then that I had to have one of these. Spool forward 11 years, and I finally got one, after looking for about a year.
The Ur is nice, but I have never felt an urge to have one. The exception would be a rally replica with the graphics from the Group B era.
The RS2 is not about handling. For that, I have my ex SCCA Autocross/Rallycross Mk2 Golf. For me, the RS2 is about Audi /(Porsche) history, the ability to waste pretty much anything on the freeway in addition to being able to tow SUV's out of ditches when it snows.Last edited by EspenW; 26 October 2010, 14:23.1995 RS2 on Alcohol (6.8sec 100-200km/h)

a tough choice.
id leave the rs2 to an rs2 lover. soundsa like your after the ur really.
id take the ur. cars that are more driver orientated give better satifsfaction.

Pete, forget both you want an rs2 rep S2 avant ;-)
I voted RS2 as i think it's a fantastic all rounder with heritage.
However, if i were in your shoes, i'd finish the UR.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994
