That's what I call customer service!

Recently bought some Apex suspension springs for my BM. I'd done some research and chosen the Apex kit as it had the most aggressive spring rates. Anyway, got the kit fitted and annoyingly it wasn't sitting correctly. The improvement in handling over the Eibach kit was marked and the car felt so much more sure-footed and controlable - the front springs were 50% stiffer and it needed it! I thought that the springs might sag a little but that's not happened yet and it is higher at the front than is ideal, it's very much like the original M Tec kit and taller than the Eibach springs I removed. It's only a -30mm kit but I wasn't informed that this was not for M Tec equipped cars and that I should have gone for the lower -60mm kit! (which is going to be silly low).

So I got in contact with the chap in Holland who I'd discussed the spring rates with (they were happy to tell me them, as were HnR and Eibach!) and explained that although the car drove nicely, there was a problem with the stance and I wasn't told that I needed the extra low kit etc. Rapid reply came back and no messing about, he asked for some pics so they could advise me, which I duly sent. Within minutes he'd replied saying that he could see my point and that he'd dispatch a set of lower front spring immediately FOC! Great though this was, I pointed out that there was a danger of my car looking like a 'DTM' style German tuner effort, c.1991 and that as I didn't have an upswept exhaust, it might not be in period... to which he replied that as they had no DTM exhausts in stock, he'd send the whole kit! (cheeky )

So this morning (3 days after I first emailed!) a parcel turned up with 4 bright yellow springs in it.

    Apex -

I've also asked about custom S2 springs. They can help but 25 set MOQ!

What's the last sentence supposed to mean?

And what is the company name you dealt with? Good to know since I'm from The Netherlands

        Dealing direct with Apex Suspension.

ECP are the main distributor over here and the prices make HnR look rather pricey!

Will be in contact with them about making some proper springs for the S2. I would prefer something sporty as HnRs give a choppy ride, lower the car unevenly and then are a little soft when cornering...
