Any of you got anything to share not involving the airbag?

I think the point was why would there be a non airbag steering wheel in a car that possibly had an airbag from the factory. Something that could only really be verified by the VIN / build codes.

Boost guage fitted in the centre console, should make diagnosing boost leaks easy. Also possible that the ecu has already been chipped.
Stainless tailpipes you might be lucky and find a full stainless exhaust under there.

If you're going to buy a car off that seller for the sake of sanity and your pocket bring an IL5T expert with you and if nobody will volunteer their time pay someone to go with you. IMO every car he has somebody else didn't want for whatever reason and parted with it on the cheap.

I only brought up the airbag because if the car was in an accident and the airbag went off, the cheap and cheerful solution would be to put in the non-air bag early S2 three spoke steering wheel (rather than the expensive air bag unit). Makes me suspicious.

One of the problems that happens in this type of discussion is what ETKA calls model year (typically July 199x to June 199x+1) and what you in the UK and Europe call model year, i.e. the year in which the car is first registered. For example a car built in August 1994 is a 1995 Model Year car according to ETKA but it would be referred to as a "1994" car in the UK (because it was registered, say, in October 1994).

Makes for lots of confusion (at least to me).

Why does a "1994" ABY S2 have a non-Airbag steering wheel? I thought by 1994 the three spoke "sport" airbag steering wheel was standard fitment.

the 94/m s2 avant i got also hasnt got an airbag its got the same 3 spoke wheel

on another quick note the s2 avant on ph with the knackerd engine (witch isnt mine) also got the same 3 spoke s,wheel as my cars & thats a 94/l aby avant
