Looking for example UrS4 and UrS6 build tags

I want to figure out the three number/digit option codes. Kate and Paul Nugent have some info but I need more. I am hoping to get some Euro, UK and North American UrS tags and compare them. If you are interested in contributing and have a C4 UrS4 or S6, send scans or photos as jpgs or pdfs to forgied at shaw ddddoott ca. If you know that your car came with anything special like RHD, the Bose sound system, or Automatic Climate Control, or 15" winter mags or a factory CD changer, please tell me (I should be able to figure out the codes from that). If you want to hide the numbers in your VIN, fine. However, if you leave them, I will run them through the check digit calculator (for fun, they will be fine).

This a the Euro 100 Avant TDi tag (as an example).

Yes, I have too much time on my hands right now.

Here's my s6 auto, originally a UK car, now on Irish roads.

X2B national sales program Great Britain
B0A component parts set without country-specific design requirement
    C7U alloy wheels 9J x 19 (curiously the car has 17" S6plus alloys)
G0H four-speed automatic transmission for four-wheel drive vehicle
    H2N 255/40 ZR 17 tyres
    J0J battery 300 A (63 Ah)
    M1S 5-cyl. gasoline engine 2.2 L/169 kW 20V closed-loop catalytic converter base engine is T3V
    Q1D sports front seats
1AH electronic differential lock (EDL) (I don't have this but never checked the back axle to see if the switch is there)
1G3 alloy spare wheel with original equipment tires
2PL leather trimmed sports steering wheel for airbag system with "S" badge
    1N1 power steering
3AV outer right rear view mirror: non-spherical, powered, heated
3BF outer left rear view mirror: convex, powered, heated
T3V components for base engine, unit 034.K
3S0 without roof rails/roof load rack
3UE 2 fixed separate seats with armrests (rear seats I think)
    0G2 selector lever
8AV without radio, with loudspeaker connections (poverty spec here we go)
    8GL alternator 120A
    8FA without second battery
    8RM eight loudspeakers (passive)
    1KE disc brakes, rear
    1LC disc brakes, front
3FA without roof insert (standard roof)
    3YB door pockets, front
    1BE sports suspension/shock absorption

I got the codes from here.

Thanks Shane that is great info

What color is your interior? Cloth or leather. The blue pearl effect paint shows up but N1U for the interior isn't something that Kate recognizes.

I edited my first reply (I didn see the extra info you gave me) Thanks so much.

Regarding the photo, I was able to process it with more contrast and now can read it just fine. That said, I hope it stops raining before February. Ireland must be like Vancouver BC. We are just moving into the rainy (more) season.

Thanks again (but do answer the N1U interior question).

              1AH electronic differential lock (EDL)

Shane: Your link to that code pdf is bloody brilliant. That's exactly what I needed. Perfect.

As for your 1AH EDL system, there is no switch either on the front console or anything on the rear differential. The "lock" feature is done by the ABS system, i.e. it applies the brakes to the wheel(s) that is/are spinning.

Just thinking about this there must have been an error in the factory codes, I fail to see how the car could be delivered with 19" rims and 17" tyres.

                    Beside the spare wheel Mark.

The sticker for my 93 S4 is in the boot, under the removable carpet, in the "upper" left hand corner, beside the spare wheel well.

Heres a snap of the tag in my service book.

Whats AAT mean next to the g/box code?

EDL is not the vacuum actuated switch that UrS4's have.
EDL is an additional function in the ABS ECU, which monitors wheel speeds and then brakes the spinning wheel to try and transfer torque to the other wheels.

I think all UrS6 have that option.

Is that used on later model quattros RS4 / RS6 etc?
