    Audi 80 Sport - Advice

Hi guys, im looking for an Audi 80 B4 TDi for my daily. Been looking but all that ever seems to come up are 1600's and 2L sports. Now im guessing the 1.6 is a bit of a no go? no power and pish poor performance?

So i guess the question is, is the Sport decent enough to drive and does it return useable mpg?

Any advice would be much appreciated, or if anyone up heres got a decent TDi for sale??

    Ta guys

1.6 are crappy engines, especially the ones with the early gearbox. 2.0€ 116hp engines are good.

i have the 2.0E 16v, that is a totally different engine than the 2.0i 8v.

the 8v has the digifant injection, so the mpg is much better, lets say 8l/100km

do you guys calculate in US mpg or imp. mpg?

        that is 29.4 US mpg

lol Cheers skull, yup in the UK we have a great tradition of mixing all our measuring units together. So we buy fuel by the litr and calculate miles by the gallaon! nice and confusing eh! Just dont try and understand pluming or joinery where we happily mix millimeteres and inches! lol

Anyhows, yeah i know the 8v and 16v are totally differnt (too many beers tonite, but sounds like an 8 valver might be ok!

          Ta again Skull

I was really dissapointed with my 8v coupe. A friends 1.2 corsa would just pull away from it up to 80 no problem and it was really poor on petrol as was my 2l 8v seat Ibiza and that wasn't
particulary quick either. Plenty of 16v b4s about... My current 80q was a 2l 16v and that felt
really fit, untill it blew up lol

The performance of the 2.0v is nothing special but they will still do 120mph and will set at 100mph all day long. But, you will see 40 mpg if you drive sensibly. The engines and gearboxes last forever and they are cheap to run and service.

If you are not bothered about performance you can't fault them in my book...
