I am having very hard time to believe these numbers.....it only has a 53 compressor inducer and i dont believe it can support this hp while lasting long (i am speaking about the turbo).

It can give a max 48-50 lbs/min..... maybe they are using another chemical-fuel that releases oxygen and thus getting more from the combustion but not only from this turbo....

Several people are now seeing 500+hp using this turbo on a 2l litre engine. I have to be honest it must be a awesome setup as its a great 400hp turbo, let alone a 500hp one !

You wouldn't be using the same comp wheel and turbine AR on a 3071 for 500 HP as the ones you would use for 400 HP, I'm guessing if you are making 500 + then more lag is going to have to be expected for the bigger exhaust AR and bigger comp wheel .

Agreed, however the larger 3071 still pulls better low down than a 3076 for example.

With the difference that we are talking about the GT3171R and not the GTX series that use other compressor impellers.

No matter what combo you are using the ultimate restriction comes from the compressor inducer and the turbine exducer.

Classic GT3071R has a 53mm compressor inducer and it is almost impossible to brake the 500 mark with it.
