    Ripped off

    yeah, me this time...

been asked by a forum member for a favour, to bid on a set of wheels on ebay.de, as time was expiring, and they were shipping only to EU. i have bid, won, payed them and the shipping price to my place via paypal.

the guy said he wanted to return the favour, and asked me if i need anything. i was looking for a certain piece of trim, and he said he can get me one.

meanwhile i got the wheels and forwarded them to him. the total ammount 480 of my bloody €uros.

to cut it short, i was told the piece of trim was on the way to my place, and the rest of the money will be sent on my paypal acc. i got 200€, so the piece of trim + shipping was 280€.

No response from him since then, no package arrived to my home (he said he sent it on 3rd of december), no tracking number given no nothing. Just a clean ripoff.

Just an advice: dont be stupid like me, when buying stuff for others, make sure the €€€€ is on your account first.

That's nasty, it's so easy for these arrangements to go wrong. Hopefully the forum member will contact you and come to an agreement. Thanks for passing on your experience for the benefit of others.

Rok - sorry to hear that the piece of trim never turned up, I still think that its a very expensive bit of trim from the picture you showed me before of it and postage sounded high.

I've not heard from the same person since around nov/dec time hence me selling those rear lights. Hope you sort something out, has he been online recently?

edit - you still got that picture of the rims you showed me as I can't find it.

Yeah, money before goods, I've lost about £1k to those games this year, people place orders and then default on them - had the optimism gradually kicked out of me...

          Hope you get it sorted.

A list of dodgy forum members somewhere would be a good thing!!

Rok, very sorry to hear about this. The forum is a great community, I've never had any problems with the multiple people I've dealt with both as a buyer and a seller.

As Tristan suggested maybe a name and shame list is a good idea, would put ****ers off taking advantage of members.

                    Hope you get this sorted.

It's a great shame when things like this happen - This forum is generally full of honest people and I hope things like this don't spoil it for others!!

                              Trader Blacklist is here already

I think Rok is doing the mature thing. Give the guy a few days to get his stuff sorted out and name & shame later if it comes to that. A few more days at this stage won't change anything.

However name & shame is the only way to protect other forum users.
