Some cars look stunning in it - don't think it would suit the S2, though.

In a sea of shiny supercars something like a Ferrari 430 etc can look stunning in matte paint. The ordinary car on the street just looks like an unloved heap done up by some muppet that works at halfords.

That Car looks more like a Satin/Eggshell finish to me rather than a Matt finish...

Have to agree that I Don't like it!

matt black cars need rough bodywork to go with the image-and a lick *** motor under the bonnet-as seen in my friends Trans Am

Nah the rougher the bodywork the worse they look. Matte/satin finishes work best on swooping coupe's not rough old cars. Matte finish amg's are leading the way for that look at the moment with satin silvers etc Shows the lines off really well.

i think at the time (3yr ago) we prepped a gpN impreza for a customer and painted it satin black, paid £3k for the job and it looked the ********, but you could mark it soooooooooo easy, not good for a rally car.
Polish a scratch out and that spot goes shiny.......... not good lol!

we get all sorts of stuff passing us in Ilford, Essex, new AMG black, ferraris, M5`s, cayennes and x5`s and 99% of them look shockingly bad, but the odd ones look absolutly stunning, depends on the shade and finish of the job.

p.s who`s that in the passenger seat of the S2???? Bloke from the BT adverts?? PMSL!¬
