Ridiculous prices for S2 bits on ebay

    Morons on ebay are trying to sell second hand parts at these prices;

    Aux gauges £160
    Rear diff £172
    ABS unit £145
    ABS ECU £145
    AC compressor £160
    Propshaft £100
    Brake bomb £90
    Steering rack £100

For anyone who doesn't know, the going rate for these parts is literally a fraction!

These people are trying to drive prices of parts up

Long live the S2 forum for sale section!!

With so many in the US looking for S2 & RS2 parts the price locally and at the dealer does not matter because US dealers do not have them and people need things shipped.

It's the eBay trap of buying for sheer convenience to save time chasing round breakers. I've bought a few small things like that when in a hurry. Sometimes you don't have time to find the best price but some of those prices seem a bit steep - especially when usual 'sold as seen' applies - tricky enough when dealing face to face with a breaker but such a nightmare if they are many hundred or thousand miles away.

Well I paid for £100 for one not that long ago. I suppose 170 isn't outrageous if it's a healthy one with no leaks or nasty noises. If you fit it and it grinds like Lindsey Lohan on a bad night then you have big troubles getting refunded as the seller can use all sorts of excuses to wangle out if he is a shady trader.

I have a full car for £1500. I'll put it in the right section later.

I have a 1991 3B S2 for sale in black with 130K. Ideally this could be used as a donor car for the engine and running gear into a WR/MB or maybe a spare engine etc for your RR. I suppose if you really wanted to you could put it back on the road.

The car is complete and accident free. It starts and runs, however it has been stood and as such there is no MOT.

Points of interest are as follows:

                    1. Uprated ECU
                    2. RR/3B twin cam engine
                    3. Lowered suspension
                    4. Porsche type alloys
                    5. Glass sunroof
                    6. Rear opening windows
                    7. S2 brakes which are an upgrade for a UR
                    8. Power flow exhaust

                    £1500

Ideally this would need to be collected or I may be able to deliver for a reasobale fee.

                    PM if interested.

Pay your money and take your chance, get some bargains on the old flea bay but don't get into a bidding war and be prepared for items arriving not as described. Remember, the sellers opinion might be a million miles from yours.

I agree, use a 7a one, not abused so much, just swap your s2 drive flanges over (5min job).
