As I haven't yet bought an S2 (But intend to remedy within a couple of weeks), I thought you might like to see some pics of the last Coupe I had.
Was a late '95 2.8E Quattro, with 150k on it when I bought it about 5 years ago. I kept it for a year and put another 10k on top.
Had loads of history with it, right back to the second owner.
Was grubby when I bought it and had the spoked style wheels on that you can see in the first pic. I swapped them back to the originals that came as part of the sale.
In the year I had it, I had to replace the ARB bushes and the water seal on the oil cooler but that's all.
Sold it to get my S6 but always regretted it.
It popped up about a year or so ago Melksham way for £850 and I must admit I was half tempted. I did give the garage a call, but they had none of the history paperwork. A couple of months later, it popped up again as a private sale for £1400.
Was a great car.
