    Bead blasting info

Is it poss to bead blast hubs that are assembled with bearings, I.e. Straight of the cv joints?

Is there something that can be done to protect the bearing from the bead/sand blasting, or is this a definate no?

    Cheers.

im sure they're probably is a way but i'd still say not worth it.

you wouldnt be able to blast all of it or paint it properly. I just think if a jobs worth doing, it should be done properly. Putting some new wheel bearings would put the price of the job up a little but atleast they're done then and you can clean and paint it all properly!

IIRC Kit Simmons used two old top mounts to sandwich either side of his S2 hubs so the rubber effectively seals the bearing against the media

If you can't do something like this then defintely don't do it a you will fill the berings with blast media and need to replace them
