Anyone who uses this road beware!
The ones covering newham way heading into town at the flyover and underpass seem an odd idea.
The zone that was previously a 40 but now 50 since the cameras went live, goes from 50 into a 30 and the immediate 30 average zone as soon as you pass the signage is about 15-20 meters long?
There are not cameras further down the road...the zone IS that short and sudden!! You must slow well before you get anywhere near it.
I think I got caught out yesterday in the work van. Pootling along at 40 odd in the inside lane and changing into the right lane to avoid coming off at the flyover I was stupidly watching my mirror and not watching the cameras!! :Beat:
By the time I realised I was in the 30 zone, thought about if the zone was beginning ending or whatever and reacted it was almost over and I probably averaged mid-high 30's.
Sure enough you get out the other side (20 meters on) and everyone speeds up to about 50 again and carry on over the flyover.
The point in that tiny zone being???
I can't help but wonder why they didnt make it extend further back into the 50 zone giving people a chance to slow down or make it run the whole length of the flyover and underpass stopping the lorries tailgating you all the way over if you stick to the limit.
