What version of Vag-com

Got a generic OBD2 to USB adapter and 2x2 cable, can anyone tell me what version of Vag-com will allow me to connect to an ABY ecu and also connect to a B5 S4 ECU?

Older Version Vag-Com 311.9 work fine.

I'm pretty sure for full functionality of vag-com with 1.8t and 2.7t cars your cable and version must support can-bus

i'm using the one downloaded from the site with no issue's.

I have this with the correct cables from Ross-tech and the 2x2 adapter, I checked for faults on TimE-J S2 and the fault code function worked fine, i tried to look at sensor values and I couldn't find a way to do this, is it sported on the old style connector or only on the OBD-II (It works perfect on my **** 1.8T A4 and my brothers B5 S4 which are OBD-II)
