Tyre Suggestions, what do you recommend?

A subjective question i know, bit like asking somebody their taste in women or beer. What are you using, opinions, and would you buy them again?

I am in need of 225x40x18's for an Avant. Also anybody know what load rating we should be using 88 or 92?

I've had falken 912's,452's, Toyo T1-R's, Gooodyear F1 Eagle's and now I'm running Continental sport contacts and they are a cut above the rest. The grip is unreal!!!!! There's not much more I can say apart from they are the best tyre I've run. I believe in you get what you pay for in tyres plus it's not only the corner grip you benefit from but also braking!

452's are a very good tyre for the money, we did the ring last year on 452's on a BMW 330m-sport and it did very well even with the weight of it.

Error404 You will not be disappointed with them, worth every penny if you have too pay full price

Plus they wont break the bank too, so you can afford to replace them a bit more often

One problem with the Conti's is the compound is a little soft(but that's where you get the grip from) so they wear out a bit quicker than cheaper brands, my brother went through a set on his 200sx in 3 months and they we're 255/40/18's (NOT CHEAP RWD)

Thanks for the input all, the Continental Sport Contact 3s are growing on me, Toyo's look interesting too, seem to be highly praised where ever i look.

Found this site an interesting read http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/ , certainly the reviews for the Bridgestone S05a's i have been using are on the money. Lots of comments about them being very noisy when half worn, uneven wear, and prone to tram lining on heavy braking.

As with everything cost will dictate my final choice..
