ELSA and hard drive file systems

I've tried a few versions of the above and none of them seem to be able to install on my MTFS formatted machine, is this just the crappy knock off I am trying or an actual issue with the software it is stolen from?
I'm not techie enough on this stuff to really understand it

Depends on the version, the copy i have would only work on Windows pre 2000, but yet it contains data for cars built ~2004-2005. Also my main OS is a 64bit version of Windows 7 so it wont run ancient software or 16bit apps. As a work around i run it inside a Windows 98 virtual machine. If your using Windows Vista/7 you should be able to install the Windows Virtual PC software, or use the Oracle Virtual Box software to create a Virtual Machine.

It sounds it but its not really, think computer inside a computer. Believe me installing ELSA and figuring out how to use it is way more difficult. Not sure how i would do it on XP having said that, would need to test it. Do you know what version of the software you have, copy i have is 3.1.

EDIT: Oh a Virtual Machine! Can you recommend some decent free software that i can run on XP then to emulate an MTFS drive?

I had this running on XP once upon a time. I had to jump through a few hoops to get it going but it wasn't that difficult to achieve. Sorry I can't offer any more help as it was some time ago I can't recall any specific details unfortunately.
Not much help I know, but it can run on XP without a virtual machine.

There is also a version in circulation which has ElsaWin preinstalled on a VM so you burn or mount the ISO and you can run it straight from the disc image. So there is no need to install anything which is ideal if you only use it occasionally.

The Virtualbox VM is very easy to use, I have a 64bit system so I use this to run XP so I can use ETKA.
