Waste gate spring

Hey guys

Think my Waste gate is leaking, so I have been told anyway. Anybody know a good place to get a new spring?

Aby engine. Would it be the same spring for a mapped car or is ther one that works on standard ecu and chipped ecu? Just curious to the last bit is all.

What makes you think that, i.e. what are the symptoms? What's the spec of the car?

The spring won't cause it to leak, a split diaphragm will though, that will cause the car to over-boost though, as the boost pressure opens the WG rather than closes it. Standard springs work fine on an ABY with a decent chip, although you can get a little WG flutter at 1.5bar or so.

You don't want to go changing springs without having the map altered or at least understanding what you're doing, as you may exceed the limits of the boost adaptation and cause the car to run like crap or run outside of the safe operating area.

Post up the problems and see what the experts say...
