    Audi 80 5E CD 1984

    Hello!

I need an advice from 81/85 users.

There is a nice 80 5E (115hp) for sale here, that i would really like to buy for a daily. It has just 140.000km on the clock, no rust, and it is fully original.

The main concern is the goddam NLA . I checked the family album, and there are hardly any parts available.

So i need to know how/where to get parts, main concern are the engine parts.

What do you say, buy or no buy? (the price is not a problem)

Nice, you might find that some parts are compatible with vw making it easier to get some bits.

With your skills in finding rare Audi parts i wouldn't worry, im sure there is an abundance of spares within the type 85 community

I've got an '85 90q and even here in the US I don't have trouble finding most of the parts. You should have no problems being in Slovenia.

When I see a typ85 at the breaker I grab things that I might not be ablet o find later.

I had a '84 80 CD 5E myself and drive type 81/85 cars daily since I got my drivers license 8 years ago. If the car is complete and driveable now don't worry about the NLA thing then. Just buy it and enjoy it.

                  Skull,

buy it first, we'd all be wanting to do the type of things you've mentioned, so you'd be "amongst friends".

Looking forward to your thread on the car and how you tweek/clean it.

                  Kind regards.

Hahaha.....That's what happened to me. Bought it as a daily....it needed new shocks so I bought konis and H&R, the urq lights, treser rears, B4 front suspension, coilovers, then urq engine, und, und.

It looks really nice. I'd buy it if it was here.

they're not specific urq lights though. Early type Coupe GT lights, pre facelift and the 80 quattro came with them from the factory aswell. Although not in the US
