    Warning to forum users.

I thought it appropriate to warn other forum users of my experience of current member Jimbob. Jim was offering RS2 parts from a breaking RS2 based in Cornwall.

I bought a 'Mint' RS2 steering wheel from Jimbob, which was certainly not sold as described. Jim agreed to refund me the money and I was to return the wheel to the garage whence it came.

It's been 6 weeks since the wheel was returned to the garage and Jim has not refunded me the £120 I paid for the steering wheel nor responded to my many efforts to communicate via PM, email or mobile (text and VM).

It would appear that Jim has no intention of returning my money as promised. I should stress that it is Jim Maclean of Indian Queens in Cornwall who is to blame here and not the garage in question.

I suggest other forum users think carefully before dealing with Jim.....

Not sure what to say. Has anyone else had a problem?

His main activity seemed to be on a thread selling a lot of parts from a broken RS2.

Best of luck getting a successful conclustion on this one.

    Cheers,

Perhaps a good time to start a thread to log feedbacks from buyer/seller ?

i think he only join this forum to get rid of the rs2 parts, knowing that's it will sell like hot cakes.
he did say he was breaking the rs2 for his boss and so don't really mean much to him.
i got my parts after many pm's and he i think he did mention something about travelling to Australia.
        i may be wrong though

        keep trying mate,don't give up

i had an inquiry initially about the rear bumper which he offered for 200GBP and then after realising it may worth more, he upped the price to 300GBP, at which point i did not proceed.

Yes, he also seemed a perfectly nice chap in all our calls and PM's to date.
He's just vanished with scant regard to returning other peoples money...

Do you have an address you could PM me please?
I think a personal visit might help jog his memory.

Did you use paypal? if not why not, I have used paypal and some members have been offended that I would not gift the money (even if I make the cost up prior to payment).

After I got dooped on a turbo from a member who insisted on not using paypal, i wont ever not use it again!!!!! pr!ck

I hope you get your cash back tho.
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

agree, should be nothing wrong with using paypal, if they are in a rush for the cash it lets you take the cash out quickly but they do charge a fee.

I did use PayPal, although sent the funds as a gift. Mistake.

I also know there is always two sides to every story!!

I'll text him to give him a heads up on this thread.

Shame that people can't just be more honest.

                            Hope you get it sorted

Thanks for offering to help contact him. I hope you're able to reach him and
encourage him to get in touch - something I've been unable to do for 6 weeks.

As I've said already, every call I've had with Jim has been very agreeable and pleasant. It's just he's gone AWOL with my cash and it's been six weeks since he was due to return me the money. I would be interested to hear his version of events.
Admins are able to follow the PM thread to verify the exchange to date.

I've been in regular contact with the owner of the breaking RS2 and garage who also is keen to speak to Jim!
