36 hours from Toronto to Atlanta and back to pick up and tow back an Ur-q.
It was rough but made it OK.
Did another 28 hour stint driving from Denver to Toronto with a new 4kq
It gets harder and harder to do as you get older.www.quattro.ca

What were you driving Bo?Whats your longest non-stop drive? (not inc fuel stops)
I drove from north germany to south france yesterday and by the end the trip computer was flashing 16. So it was over 16 hours with only stopping for fuel.
I know Stu managed a 32 hour stint once when we delivered a car to germany but that included 2, 2 hour ferry stops.....
Would be interesting to know what others have done..
Is not how long you drive non stop but what yo drive. If you drive s8 for 16h that's nothing, Try to drive a fully loaded van with s2 on the trailer for 30h.sigpic_________

I towed someone back from the ring once, now that was a experience ! Not one I'm in a hurry to do again either.Comment

ok ok, I was in the s8 and tbh it was a pice of cake
, especially as the french motor ways are very well maintained and practically empty at night anyway.. . Was just wondering what sort of hours other people had clocked..

regarding km's on a motorbiks. A mate of mine has done 3.000 km's on the bike in one go. That sure is a lot on a bike, but he also did that in 24 hrs.

From Hertfordshire to Brighton and back then up to Moreton on the Marsh in the Cotswolds to pick up a friend and then straight down to St Ives all in 1 day. Fair enough there may have been an hour or two break in between the leaving for St Ives and half a day ini Brighton but thats a lot of miles by my standard and all in a "G" reg Peugoet 309 1.6 when I was 19! Not something I have tried to repeat since. Rock on the 309! RIP!Comment

I quite offten do Leeds-Aberdeen-Leeds in the day start at 2.30am and home for around 4pm just short of 750mile. Stop to off load the van and fuel and its all hand ball off loading.
Best one was 2.30am start Leeds-Aberdeen-Dundee-Stirling-Falkirk-Stranraer-Leeds had a blow out on the A1M about an hour from home and I couldn't be bothered to wait for the AA so changed it myself them got home for 12.30am the next day all non-stop apart from fuel. I think that was near 900mile in a new Sprinter. I was knackered! I can do nearly 2000miles a week sometimes.Comment

Many, many years ago - in the early 1980s.
I had to go to Hamburg (from Frankfurt) for a customer meeting. Apart from my other responsibilities (sales and marketing support manager) I was also - for my sins, which must have been grievous - the car pool manager. And I had a car in the Frankfurt car park that needed to go to an engineer in Hamburg. So instead of flying ...
I left around 05:00 and got to Hamburg in good time. The meeting was shorter than I expected, and I discovered that an ex-salesman's car needed moving back to Frankfurt - a 100 5E auto. So rather than eff about at Fuelsbuettel, I just hopped in the car.
I got as far as Rasthof Kircheim. This is a bizarre place if you're used to UK motorway services - back then it had a Michelin star. I was just finishing my early season asparagus when my Eurosignal pager went off - big problem at MTU in Munich. So I diverted and went on to Munich.
I got home (Hofheim/Langenhain) at around 03:00.
I just don't know the distance - maybe one of our German residents can tell me. I know that Frankfurter Kreuz ---> Hannover Nordkreuz is 347 kilometres and Hamburg is about another 140 klicks from there - so the outbound and return legs would be around 1,000 km. The excursion to Munich is possibly about as much again.Comment
