We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links

Reminds me of the bmw ad of the eighties where the E30 was dangled on its doors to prove strength and weight distribution or balance of the car. I think the caption was "once we've hung the doors on the car, you can hang the car on the doors".
Admittedly the golf ad had a dynamic load rather than a static one and in the opposite direction but you get where I'm coming from.
