Wondering Whether to Break or Sell.

Hello, I have a K reg Audi 2.8E coupe in black which has done 148K miles at the moment it is sitting in my drive doing nothing it has mot and tax mot runs out september and tax i think has about 3months left. As you will see in the pics the alloys need a refurb and the door handles are different but i have a full set of locks and handles in black. i am just wondering if i should sell it as a whole or break most of the parts that are on it. i.e like the alloys, plasma dials, seats, trims, steering wheel, etc.

Do you have a rough price you would be after if you were to sell, and does it all run ok etc?

My tuppence, if you're not mechanically gifted and don't know the price of stuff, I'd be loath to attempt to part it if I was you.

Some of the other people on here who've done it once and others who've done it a few times may be able to comment one way or the other?

If it was an S2 you'd have volunteers to come round and take the bit off they want, and if it was an RS2 it would be like piranhas.

My suggestion is that you hold out and sell it as a whole running car, somebody will eventually buy it at a price, no real work on your part except waiting around.

Parting a car is a lot more work and effort.

Hope this is of some use, but see what others suggest.

        kind regards.

It did run fine but have had it sitting in the drive over the past 3-4 weeks but i think there is a prob with the alternator i can jump start and the car can run perfect but leave for a day and it's flat again. Rough guide about £1000 as i have spent a fortune on it.
