    This your b5 rs4? http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51729

I think there is a pretty limited market looking for cars like this, and factoring things like running and fuel costs in particular at the moment, this market is made even smaller as people do not want the outlay.

It's very hard work at the moment, both buying and selling cars.

Sellers generally aren't willing to budge on price, buyers want to pay as little as possible. (not aimed at you specifically )

I'm looking at the moment, but finding many sellers unwilling to budge on price

        yeh thats mine,
I personally think the price has just about bottomed out now, but it's just took a massive hit! i have decided to keep mine at the price it's at and if it doesn't sell then so be it, it's paid for and costs next to nothing to store, eventually it will become rare like the rs2 (only 400 odd examples in the uk now) and the prices will rise again
i feel sorry for those that are in the position of having to sell as we all know the percieved value of our cars, but the vultures out there are circling, and it doesn't help when known traders drop there prices to rediculas levels to sell stock! but there in business i suppose so needs must.

I had bother selling a MX5 recently (Hardly a performance car). I had the car priced correctly, it had 2 lady owners and FSH. I had one phone call about it, he bought the car. I think people just don't have the money at the moment to buy/run nice cars.

Well, as we're getting near £1.50 a litre for V-Power... over £200 a year to tax...

Running a fast or luxuary car is just plain extortionate now.

Wondering if we'll manage to get the A6 shifted...

The thing about the S2 market is that prices are generally held up by a small, rotating pool of willing buyers, and a collective refusal by us guys to lower the price. Unfortunately that means that the market stagnates very quickly if only a few less people are looking to buy.

Don't kid yourself about the RS2's, they're not selling either. Only 120ish left but still slow getting a sale.

Thankfully, like yourself, I don't have to sell it, and after a quick blast last night I am having second thoughts!

Mate of mine bought an RS2 for 3600 the other week as all car values have dropped through the floor. Personally if I buy a car I intend to drive it into the ground and make it last a lifetime as I'll never get the money back that has been spend on it.

I have found the same problem too!!!

My LWB sport quattro has still not had a sniff and I refuse to drop the price any further. And my 20vt cabriolet has still not gone either...

Had they been LHD I could have sold them 3 times over for more money out in Europe....

                      Ah, mine's obviously overpriced then!!

Just the sort of post I needed to assist my sale!

Our lass's TT was up for three months and we didn't get a phone call and it was only at 6k FASH, full black leather had everything done at Audi and a very well looked after car. We ended up taking £5k for it on Saturday. My mate has had his 330d M-sport BMW up for sale for 9 months and not one phone call??? It's the Market nothing is moving at all I've noticed.

Yeah it seems anything above a 2 litre TDI barely gets a look in these days. Shame as the the 330 M-sport is a really nice car.

Looks like we're in the wrong market:

Luxury car company Rolls-Royce enjoyed a big increase in worldwide sales in the first half of this year.
