    Boost gauge - daft question!

This a bit embarrassing but i don't know so I'll ask.

Where is a good place to plumb in a boost gauge?

The vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator?

    Cheers all

I mounted mine in the centre heater vent. The pipe then runs down behind the the cd player and across to the passenger footwell area, and to a T-peice thats inline with the vacuum pipe going to the ecu, which is below the glove box.

I think the easiest is to tee in next to the ecu ( under the passenger glove box )

Well the best would be of course a separate vacuum source.
Because plumbing it at the FPR can be potentially dangerous.

But yeah, most people (including me when mapping) put a T piece just before the ECU.

1.8t so no feed to the ecu unfortunately, i'm not running a dumpvalve on mine so took my feed from the manifold where the dumpvalve plumbs in. however almost all 1.8t's i have seen do t into the fuel pressure regulator

Ahh yeah sorry it is a 1.8t. I can plumb into either the dv line or the fpr line. Is either better?

              DV line is safer.
