    A question of steering wheels....

I'm thinking of changing my current steering wheel and am liking the look of the A4, A6, and mk1 TT's offerings. Will it be a direct swap, or will some fettling be required?

What about a 2011 s3 flat bottom steering wheel.

Not even close to being a direct swap. Spline sizes are completely different. If you have a three spoke sport S2 airbag wheel then you have the best one for your car. If yours is knackered, you can get them recovered. Or find one in better shape and swap.

I currently have the 4 spoke wheel with the square centre, if that makes sense! It looks dated, and I'm not really that keen on the 3-spoke wheels (they look a bit boy racery tbh)

Hmm...I never thought that the three spoke airbag sport steering wheel was "boy racer"ish. The non-air bag three spoke maybe but not the airbag one.

Here is an example of sport steering wheel in an Audi cabriolet:

Here is a list of sources for sport steering wheels that I think work on the S2. (I know they work on the UrS4s):

That's the one i'm after!! The 3 spoke wheel I'm not keen on is the non airbag version. Thanks a lot for your help.

I've found the best diameter for an S2 steering wheel to be 350mm (OE 3 spoke non-airbag is 365mm or so). I'd suggest you get something that's 350-365mm, so might be worth checking that they're not 380mm or something equally silly. If B5 parts fit then check what wheel Doug has on his S4.

i m on this for a few years now and it s a real mess !!

i didn t found any easy swap from the standrad ugly 4 spokes as shown on the picture above, i bought a 3 spoke from a cabrio and its not the same wireness, connections as the one i got. There is a backplate which fits in the 2 molded plastics pieces around the steering wheel and it requires a lot of mods.

still waiting for a solution, i got a S2 avant 1993. Only direct swap is a 3 spoke from S2 3B without airbag.

I ll put pics, as this is one i want to change asap.
