    Costa Adeje

    Hey guys

A bit advanced this thread but I am due to go away with teh missus and her family in April to Costa Adeje and I was wondering if anyone had been there before?

If so is there any surf there? Have looked on google and it brings up stuff about Playa Las Americas but not Costa Adeje. I fear I have let myself in for another one of those dreaded family holidays where I will be bored pooless and unable to escape to do fun things!

Really hope there is surf there though for me to escape!

    Thanks
    Chris

Im just back from Golf sur mer which is south of San Miguel. Along the coast toward P.L Americas there was some quite good breaking waves but think its better for wind surfing than surfing. Little garage in san miguel and there was a mint Lancia delta intergral evo2 well tweaked! Have a good holiday atleast the weather is going to be better!!

Hehehhe, not boring holidays for sure

Ive never been there before, but near, and there are lot of things to do. I strongly recomend you to rent a boat to visit beautifull places around there. Nice beaches and good place to practice windsurf, diving and sailing.

      Hope you enjoy it!

        Costa Adeje

Just back - nice area - better than Playa - nice waves at the sea - some beaches are of the rocky variety thought.

Only complaint was that it was toooo hot - over 30 degrees and I start to wilt and burn.

Can get ****a busses to anywhere on the island - air conditioned too.

        martin.

Just back from Golf Del Sur. My girlfriends sister was in Costa Adeje and said it was really nice. Plenty of people surfing in Las Americas. The beachs in Las Americas are man made white sand and the waves vary depending on what beach you are at. Have a nice time.

When we went to Tenerife it was cheaper to hire a car from Auto Reisen for a week than pay for coach transfers from the Airport.
There is a lot to see around the island.

There's a lot more to Tenerfie than black beaches and bars:

Well it looks like i should be able to surf then. When I went to Fuerta Ventura in January I liked the Volcanic beaches there it was a bit different to what Im used to but you cant beat golden sand.

Bry, wish I was taking the S2 after seeing that pic!

                        Costa Adeje

Did not see any surfers - usual jetskis & Para gliders etc.

Lot of people scuba / snorkling.

I was staying up at the end - in Riu Palace next to the Sheritan Hotel.

Hmmm, I hope I get surf. I have looked on Google and get some things pop up but it doesnt make it that clear as to whether the surf is that close to Costa Adeje. I know ther eis supposed to be ssurf in Las Americas so I guess its close enough but what I also would want to know then is that I can get there easy enough without having to hire a car and once I am there can I hire a surfboard or am I better off trying to get one of mine out there with me?
