for in Finland I am looking to buy a "B" sized avant quattro (80 or A4). Plenty of choice in Germany, but it would be easier to buy closer to the arctic circle.. but where to look? I know of nettiauto.fi, but there must be more.
also: any good webshop for parts in Finland? (or one that has low shipping rates to Finland)

Note that if you are going to use the car in Finland(over 3 or 6 months? I don't remember the laws correct) you have to pay taxes to Finland. Used car taxes are high in Finland, so if you bring a car from germany, sweden or... the price will be approx the same as in Finland.
Finland is a small country, so here isn't that many cars to choose from. And new car tax is so high that all "special" cars are missing. That is why many finnish people import a car from sweden or germany.

I wil station the car in Finland (we are there rather often), so will need to import it, and thus pay tax. From what I understood of the www.tulli.fi website probably ~25% of the estimated Finnish market value of the car. The reason why I also want to look outside Finalnd is (as you mention already) is that the choice in cars is not very large, and surprisingly few quattro's. Why I prefer to look in Sweden of Norway is (apart from the smaller distance) that these cars come equipped with proper winter tyres and engine heaters.
