Hi all you UKs boys.
I need an urgent help from you english mother language.
Our Club will have a display stand in Padova Vintage cars fair, displaying the Audi 90 IMSA coming from Audi Tradition.
We will have the back wall of the stand (8X12 metres) with the pictures of the 90 IMSA racing.
On this huge banner we had the idea of printing also a quote from one of the drivers of this unique car, so the last time I meet Walter Rohrl I asked him a peculiar sentence or quote to print....
Walter on my question about how was the 90 IMSA behaviour/handling/advantage on wet tarmac against the americans opponents, told me that in the USA IMSA championship when it started raining the race was stopped....
Now becasue this quote/sentence will be putted under the attention of thousands of people I don't want to be the dumbest person in the world to use english language improperly.... and have people giggling in front of our stand......
So here's your part folks:
Can somebody put down in correct/queen english this sentence:
The Audi 90 GTO in the USA IMSA championship
Luckily enough for the opponents when it start raining....
The race was stopped....
Walter Rohrl
You can of course suggest a more peculiar or capturing sentence as long as the meaning remains the same.
Don't need to say that I will be grateful for your help providing copious amount of Limoncello/wine/cheese etc etc as per tradition!
So many Thanks in advance.
Stefano
